Sydney Suhba 2011
Sheikh Nuh Keller will be gracing the shores of Sydney this June to teach Tasawwuf (Sufism) to his Australian students in this annual event. The organisers of the Sydney Suhba would like to invite interested members of the community in Australia to partake in this spiritual journey to the Divine. This is an opportunity to listen and benefit from one of the most prolific scholars of Tasawwuf of our time.

About this event
Due to the limited capacity of the Shadhili Zawiya in Auburn, and to ensure safety and comfort, a limited number of places have been made available for those wanting to attend the Suhba. To ensure you secure a spot, it is advised to register and pay for a ticket as soon as possible to avoid the disappointment of missing out. The cost of a ticket covers attendance and all meals provided over the four days of the Suhba. After payment has been completed, you will receive an email with the full details of the Suhba program in the form of a booklet.
Important Points to Note:
- This is an adult learning environment therefore no children under the age of 12 years old will be permitted to attend. Children above the age of 12 attending are expected to remain by their parents’ side at all times and must be able to sit quietly for extended periods of time.
- Brothers are required to dress appropriately and to wear a head covering when present at the Zawiya for the Suhba mudhakara sessions.
- Sisters are required to wear a face veil (niqab) when attending the sessions for the Suhba. For those who do not want to wear the niqab or are unable to do so for any reasons, they are requested to sit in the back hall of the Zawiya when the lessons are in progress. Please bring your own niqabs for the Suhba.
- Please familiarise yourself with the Adab (proper Islamic manners) section of the Suhba information booklet that will be emailed to you after your payment has been completed.
