Our dependence on the internet and social media has become almost inseparable from our lives. With over 2.27 Billion people online and 8 billion pages available on the web online safety and security has become really important for of us. Social media has become another strong medium in which we communicate with over 1 billion Facebook subscribers also comes with significant risks.
Due to the many threats using the internet and social media poses to youth, parents and the community Katalyst in partnership with Auburn Galipoli Mosque are holding a workshop that will inform and provide practical tools to you on how to protect yourself.
This workshop combines theory and practical offering an all inclusive package towards getting yourself protected online from hacks, online bullying, spyware & viruses and the Islamic etiquette when using Facebook. It will also include lab session where you can bring in your laptop to get it secured.
