Arab countries hailed on Saturday the decisions and orders of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to pursue justice in the death of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi.
Egypt praised the results of the preliminary investigations in the case that were released by the Kingdom’s general prosecutor.
This step proves the Kingdom’s keenness in reaching the truth and taking the necessary legal measures against those involved, it added in a statement.
This demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to pursue a transparent investigation to reveal the whole truth, it stressed.
King Salman’s bold and decisive measures are in line with his habitual respect for the rule of law and achievement of justice, it declared.
The judicial measures that the Saudi government is taking will prove, with damning evidence, the truth in the case and they will block any attempt to politicize the issue, it stated.
United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Shiekh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan said that King Salman’s great interest in uncovering the truth in the Khashoggi case was reflected in his transparent and just orders.
His orders are sufficient to ensure that justice is achieved, he added according to a statement carried by the WAM news agency.
The Kingdom represented by its leadership, always has been and remains to be, a nation built on just and fair state institutions, he continued.
He further stated that the royal decisions and actions taken following the investigation in this case reaffirm those values and the established principles which ensure the execution of law and justice.
Sheikh Abdullah concluded his statement by asking God Almighty to preserve the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, and to protect them from any harm.
Bahrain praised the great efforts exerted by King in order to establish justice, transparency and fairness.
This is reflected through the wise directives and decisions concerning Khashoggi’s case. This confirms that Saudi Arabia will always remain the state of justice, values and principles that ensure the application of law to all without exception, it said in a statement.
Bahrain stressed the high regional and international position of the Kingdom, noting that its great assets and valuable contributions will continue to be the basis of security and stability regionally and internationally.
Bahrain reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all its positions and measures. It also affirmed its total rejection of those affecting the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty and stability.
Palestine stressed that Saudi Arabia, under King Salman and Prince Mohammed’s leadership, will remain a state of law, values and principles.
The Yemeni government lauded the preliminary investigations in the Khashoggi case, hailing the orders of King Salman in the affair.
It also praised the Saudi institutions that have set the Saudi people’s safety as a priority, while also ensuring that the public is informed of the whole truth in the case.
The Kingdom, through its wise political leadership, has demonstrated to the world that it is built on the principles of justice and fairness, it continued.
