PATTANI ― More than 200 Muslims in Pattani performed the special prayers or ‘solat hajat’ for the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 that disappeared a week ago.
The prayers signified the sympathy of the residents in southern Thailand for the passengers and crew of the flight which disappeared while on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
At the special prayers at the Masjid Jamek Wilayah Pattani yesterday, the mosque also provided pieces of white cloth for Muslims to write what they felt regarding the incident.
Also present at the special prayers was the Malaysian Consul in Songkhla, Mohammad Shaharul MD Osman. ― Bernama
