Sheikh Khalil Chami has passed away

May 20 2011 Ina lilah wina lilayhi rajeeoon. Sheikh Khalil Chami passed away yesterday morning after suffering a stroke late last week. His funeral at Rookwood Cemetry, Sydney was one of the biggest ever seen for the Muslim community. Community leaders and the general community all came together to pay their final respects to an honourable and widely loved man of religion. His tireless efforts, warm smile and calm demeanour touched the lives of thousands of people. Sheikh Chami has served the Muslim community for the last 40years.
