There are many job opportunities available if you enjoy working with children or the aged, but you must have the minimum accredited Certificate 3 qualification to be eligible for work in these industry sectors.
AMES offers the accredited Certificate 3 courses with English language support for migrants. Both courses have high quality trainers and small classes. The courses run for 20 weeks and include a work placement in your local area. The work placement is organised by AMES. This will give you a great opportunity to experience a real workplace and a chance to practice what you have learnt in the classroom.
Depending on your situation, you may be eligible for government funding for the cost of the course.
AMES has been delivering training courses for over 60 years and employers highly regard the students who have completed their training at AMES. Many of our clients go on to get rewarding jobs soon after they have completed their training.
The AMES Industry Certificate courses are offered twice a year at AMES in January and July. New courses will be starting in July 2015 at a number of AMES locations across Melbourne. So, if you enjoy looking after children or the elderly then one of these training courses could open up a whole new career path for you.
