MV Editor’s Note: It has come to our attention that a story we republished on February 24 on this page alleging that there was flooding in Gaza valley after Israel opened dams is false. Since several reliable websites as well as sources such as the Associated Press (AP) had carried similar stories it seemed at the time to be legitimate yet that has turned out not to be the case. While there was flooding in the region it appears to have had nothing to do with any action on the part of Israel. The AP and other outlets have since withdrawn or retracted those stories and so we hereby inform our readers, in the spirit of being factual and standing for truth, of that and retract what was reproduced on MuslimVillage.com.
