Jordan, on Wednesday, condemned extremist Israeli settlers’ practices and violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and places of worship and mosques in the occupied West Bank.
State Minister for Media Affairs and Government Spokesman, Mohammad Momani, said recurring break-ins of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards by police-backed settlers, setting a West Bank mosque’s entrance to fire and writing racist slogans on it’s walls are criminal assaults condemned by heavenly and international laws.
He called on Israel, as the occupying power in the Palestinian territories, to ensure freedom of worship in the holy places and their safety from being attacked or desecrated.
Momani stressed that Jordan will continue, through all available means and ways, to care for and safeguard Muslim and Christian sanctities in Palestine and urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and stop all arbitrary Israeli actions and violations.
