A full-day seminar on The Importance of Madhab by Imam Afroz Ali.
When: Sunday 29th January
Time: 10am-4pm
Where: Coburg Library Meeting Room, Coburg, VIC.
Course outlineToday, the four Schools of Islamic Law that form the basis of Islamic Jurisprudence is less and less understood, and is under uninformed criticism. Furthermore, age-old literalist ideologies claim that such Schools, the Madhab a Muslim follows, is a misguided innovation and has nothing to do with following the injunctions of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
This full-day seminar provides full explanation why the Madhab is an integral part of understanding Islamic Law as well as to properly practise it. By understanding the history of the development of Islamic Jurisprudence from the time of the Prophet and into the period of the Successors, the important place of the Madhab becomes very clear.
