“The only remedy for disconnecting people from the natural world is connecting them to it again”
Al Ghazzali Centre Melbourne is pleased to invite you to it’s first Xpresso for 2012. Our first film for the year will allow the viewer to get back to where it all begins – dirt!
Our state as the human race and the plight of our environment is a direct result of how we treat this earth. “Floods, droughts, climate change and even war are all directly related to the way we are treating dirt”. AGC intends to begin the process of education in order for each individual to start their own journey in getting to know the place in which they live, to learn to give and nurture the earth from which we take so much.
By introducing the viewer to “..Earth’s most valuable and underappreciated source of fertility,” Dirt highlights the role of the Earth in every aspect of our lives. It emphasises the need to re-connect, and more importantly, to learn to respect this precious planet.
