A twelve-week study of the most essential rulings that every Muslim is obligated to know in order to fulfill their obligation for performing purification, prayer and fasting. Based on the Hanafi and Shafi schools of Fiqh. An ideal course for those new into Islam that provides:
- Introduction to the key fiqh terms used to classify acts of worship such as the obligatory, recommended, disliked and nullifying acts.
- The rulings of purification; how to purify oneself from minor and major impurities.
- Ablution; how to perform ablution, when it is required and what nullifies it and what doesn’t.
- Rulings related to women including menstruation, post-natal bleeding.
- How to perform prayer.
- Rulings of fasting; its requirements, conditions, what invalidates and does not invalidate fasting. Recommended, prohibited and disliked actions during fasting.
- Categories of those who are not obligated to fast during Ramadhan.
