i just had flashbacks to high school "art", those ceramics WERE disgusting- the girls were going through an odd phase and we had ceramic aborted fetuses hanging from the ceiling.

Do you think it's fair to label all amateur ceramics as disgusting, just because a few people in your school had a few warped ideas?

ZOMG texture paste is so much fun. I love that stuff.

Also, your comments about the fetus ceramics gave me a total flashback to year 12 art classes. One lecture on feminist art of the 1970s/80s (including the awesome Dinner Party by Judy Chicago, which I am not going to link to because it is probably not suitable for MV, but which interested ladies should google) spawned a dozen painful reimaginings. Year 12 students should be banned from addressing eating disorders in their major works. It's not that it's not an important topic, it's that every single damn painting looks the same.

Only beaten by the Womyn's Edition of Honi Soit in my first year of uni, which I think I still have for the lulz. It included a poem about uteruses, written in the shape of a uterus. It was amazing.
