I am voting from East Hills. I wish I get someone in my way from One Nation - so I could tell them my piece of mind before giving no preference to them on the ballot paper.
Anyway, One Nation - first it capitalised on Asians and now it is the Islam and mosque. How miserably opportunist.
Btw, when and where did you get this paper from? I will send a complain to both my federal and state MPs about it.

I received this via email....BUT this is no hoax because my colleague at uni was informing me of this mosque issue just last week and when i showed her this leaflet it was like she had already known about it as she also lives in the East Hills area.

I just spoke to the One Nation membership line and they had no clue about this. I tried Lynn Abrahams office and apparently they got too many calls so they put an answering machine.
I am really angry.
I have a club and a church near my house. There are traffic jams, illegal parking, and hordes of drunk men and semi-nude women with too much time on their hands congregating near the clubs and the churches, littering all the streets with cans and bottles.
When this is not an election issue the mosque shouldn't be too.

The Leader of Barking Nation responds when one of the brothers asked him about the leaflet that went out....here it is...............................
..........................................................................
Thanks for the enquiry
I understand the brochure is related to the East Hills candidate, Mark
Potter, though I note Lynn is mentioned.
The One Nation people in that area have specific concerns for the site
and are of the view that Islamic organisations have made approaches
about the site.
Clearly they do not want a Mosque there.
I have never liked the term ethnic though I note many people I would
consider not to be Australians seem to like describing themselves as
ethnics - as I didn't pen the brochure, it would be best to take up issues
you might have with Lynn or Mark.
However, for the record, I believe if people are opposed to the
building of a mosque, then they have a right to oppose such - just as they are
within their rights to oppose any structure or anything else they don't
like.
Regards,
David Oldfield.

Just for everyone's information. Had this pamphlet been distributed during an Election Period then it would have breached section 151E of the Parliamentary Electorates and Elections Act (1912). This section prohibits election material from being distributed without the name and address of the authorising party being printed on it. In the case of printed material (such as this), the law also requires that the name and address of the printer is included. The section reads(http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/fullhtml/inforce/act+41+1912+FIRST+0+N#pt.5-div.17-sec.151e):
Quote
(a) the name and address of the person on whose instructions the matter was printed, and
(B) the name of the printer and address at which it was printed,
being printed in legible characters thereon, shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a penalty not exceeding 5 penalty units or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months.
(2) Where a newspaper contains an advertisement referred to in subsection (1) and the name of the printer of the newspaper and the address at which it was printed appear on the newspaper in accordance with any Act, subsection (1) does not apply so as to require that name and address to be printed on the advertisement.
This is important to note when the election campaign is in full swing, and to be alert for.
