According to the Zionised corporate media Hage-Ali silent on drug-use claims as Anger on Muslim web forum like the Muslim Village growing. Hoever, the youth leader attacks media over drugs arrest is not surprising as Zionised Australian earlier blamed almost everyone of the Muslim community for her trouble. One must wonder how it was started by whom and why; ultimately where it will end up!

NEW South Wales's most promising young Muslim leader has become the victim of a hate campaign because she celebrated with a glass of champagne after being named the state's Young Australian of the Year.



Iktimal Hage-Ali, 22, has been targeted on Muslim websites for drinking alcohol and declining to wear the traditional hijab. Her anonymous attackers condemned her after she drank the champagne to toast her award at the Art Gallery of NSW last Thursday. "It's true, I was celebrating. Bloody hell, I had a glass of champagne in my hand - so what?" Ms Hage-Ali told The Daily Telegraph.



The Islamic youth website Muslim Village posted dozens of messages berating Ms Hage-Ali.



"A person who drinks champagne, especially unabashedly, cannot represent the Muslim community," one member wrote. Another added: "She knows we don't appreciate her representing us - but it's the power that drives her. Drinking champagne, that is sick." Her accusers also berated Ms Hage-Ali for wearing "revealing" clothes, nail polish and make-up.


"Her matching nails, eye shadow and top were not how Islam would like to portray a Muslim female to the wider community," one said. Yet while the majority criticised her, a few did come to her defence. "It is wonderful that a young Muslim woman has won the award and that is a cause for celebration, not denigration," a chatroom member wrote.



Ms Hage-Ali, who is a finalist for the national Young Australian of the Year to be named next month, said she was shocked by the tirade, but refused to tone her comments down. "I'm proud of what I have done, my family is proud, my friends are proud, my colleagues are proud," the NSW Government public servant and tireless community worker said. "They're not looking at the fact that a young Muslim person has won a prestigious award - they are looking for the negatives."



Ms Hage-Ali is regarded as one of the Muslim community's most progressive young voices since joining Prime Minister John Howard's Muslim Reference Group. She did not claim to speak on behalf of all Muslims.

They also used this incident to incite against Muslims residing inside and outside Australia. Unfortunately Australian Anti-Discrimination Acts or other laws are unwilling and unable to protect Muslims from such blatant and deliberate attacks.

The question is where was the Anti-Discrimination Board? Where is the fairness and bloody fair go? Why the hell Muslims have to defend themselves all of the time?

TWO Australian brothers detained as suspected members of a terrorist group were freed at the weekend after Yemeni authorities decreed they had no case to answer.
Mohammed and Abdullah Ayub, aged 19 and 21, were arrested on October 17 in the capital, Sanaa, with another Australian, Marek Samulski, who remains in custody.
They were accused of links to al-Qaeda and arms smuggling to the latest jihadist hot spot, Somalia. But their mother - a Mudgee-born convert to Islam, Rabiah Hutchison, who lives in Sydney's south-west - insists they are innocent. The brothers' Sydney lawyer, Adam Houda, said their release had left "eggs on the faces" of those who had made "poisonous allegations" about them. These included false reports in News Ltd papers that the Ayubs studied in Yemen with a cleric linked to al-Qaeda, Sheik Adbul Majid al Zindani, and that they were involved in a supposed plot to bomb Kings Cross station in Sydney.

"They should have a good look at themselves," Mr Houda said. "And it's a shame they [the Ayubs] didn't get more support from the Government."
Five other men, including a Dane, a Briton and a German, were also arrested in what lawyers for the Australian men insisted was a general round-up of foreigners.
A Department of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman confirmed last night that the Ayubs had been released unconditionally.

Mr Houda said the brothers would stay in Yemen, where they have been for more than two years, to continue their religious and language studies.
Their arrests captured national attention, not least because of revelations in the Herald that they were the sons of Abdul Rahim Ayub, the man credited with setting up a Jemaah Islamiah cell here in the 1990s.

Ms Hutchison divorced Ayub and later went to Taliban-era Afghanistan to work as a midwife and nurse. She fled Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001, attacks as coalition troops prepared to invade. Ms Hutchison remains in Sydney after ASIO confiscated her passport, although she says she does not know why.

In response to questions from the Herald after her sons' arrest, she said they were innocent and were being unfairly vilified. Ms Hutchison was interviewed by ASIO just before the arrests, raising suspicions of some Australian co-operation in their capture.

The Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock, has declined to comment, citing conventions not to comment on operational matters.

The Government has defended the time it took for Australian consular officials to get to the men. It took more than two weeks to do so, but the Department of Foreign Affairs says the Ramadan religious festival hampered their efforts.
Australian officials visited Samulski in jail at the weekend. Samulski is being treated well, said his lawyer, Stephen Hopper.

THE Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, has confirmed for the first time that he was personally told by a senior Australian weapons inspector that the US-led weapons hunt in postwar Iraq was seriously flawed.

But he denies suppressing a damning six-page letter by the inspector, John Gee, who resigned from the Iraq Survey Group in March 2004.

The letter outlines in detail interference by the CIA and the Bush Administration in first reports about the weapons hunt to avoid finding that Iraq did not possess weapons of mass destruction.

Dr Gee, one of Australia's leading chemical weapons experts, briefed Mr Downer on his concerns after his resignation. He bluntly told him that he believed Iraq had no such weapons.

While praising Dr Gee as "a serious person", Mr Downer said yesterday: "I personally gave no instructions that it [his letter] was to be or wasn't to be distributed."

"As far as I knew, people around the Government were very well aware of Dr Gee's concerns. We had no reason not to want to hear what he had to say."

But Dr Gee repeated his belief, reported in the Herald yesterday, that when he returned from Iraq in March 2004, Mr Downer issued instructions that his letter not be be distributed outside the Department of Foreign Affairs.

"I was told that by some people whose judgement and commitment to the truth I trust," Dr Gee told the ABC yesterday.

Asked by the Herald if he would release the paper trail to show what had happened to Dr Gee's letter, Mr Downer said: "I don't know what paper trail there would be."

Dr Gee personally recorded what he believed were the efforts to suppress his six-page letter in a series of emails in March 2004 that he sent to another Austral ian weapons inspector in Baghdad, Rod Barton.

In one, Dr Gee said he realised his letter had not been sent to the Department of Defence when he briefed the departmental head, Ric Smith.

"The reason why Defence has not seen my letter, I discovered ... this afternoon is that Downer has issued instructions it is not to be distributed to anyone," he wrote.

That information was given to him by a senior official in the Prime Minister's intelligence office, the Office of National Assessments.

Mr Downer said yesterday that he had privately raised Dr Gee's concerns in April 2004 with the then head of the Iraq Survey Group, Charles Duelfer, when he visited Australia.

However, in a news conference with Mr Duelfer at the time, Mr Downer gave no indication that Dr Gee had told him there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq or that the CIA was distorting the weapons hunt. Instead he said that the weapons hunt was "a work in progress".

Ultimately, Mr Duelfer and the Iraq Survey Group publicly concluded six months later that there were no such weapons in Iraq. Until then, neither Mr Downer nor the Prime Minister, John Howard, would acknowledge this.

Labor's spokesman on Foreign Affairs, Kevin Rudd, yesterday accused Mr Downer of a cover-up over the affair for now revealing he had been told months before there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. "He didn't want that message to get out to the Australian public before the 2004 federal election. That is where this thing stinks."

Mr Rudd said the Government had refused to release Dr Gee's letter last year to a Senate inquiry. "Mr Downer now has an obligation to release Dr Gee's letter when the Parliament sits next week," Mr Rudd said.
