Tarbiah Vs. Education
The Objectives of Islamic Education and the Role of Parents Most people use the word education to refer to the process of imparting information or the accumulation of knowledge, skills and experience for the realization of a certain envisioned ideal aim. However, education in Islam is a more comprehensive process involving the development of a whole person, intellectually, emotionally, psychologically as well as physically. The Nobel Quran and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) provide a complete theory of education which caters for the growth of human being in all aspects: spiritual, intellectual, imaginative, physical, scientific, linguistic, both individually and collectively and motivate all aspects towards goodness and the attainment of perfection. What kind of challenges do Australian Muslims face in order to achieve the aims and objectives of Islamic education? What is the role of parents in this process? What kind of responsibility does the community assume?
Join us in this important public lecture, in which Dr. Louay Abdulbaki tackles these issues and attempt to answer these important questions. This program is open to all brothers, sisters, families and friends.
